I'm pansexual, should I tell anyone (irl)? It hardly affects me, but it will affect the way people see me. Could somebody tell me some benefits/drawbacks of telling people this?

Some drawbacks may be having to explain it, having it confused for bisexuality, and being told you just want attention. There are some benefits I think, for one once you get past the explaining period people won't try to put you in a box (as much it'll still happen). And it'll help raise visibility for pansexuality, benefitting you and all other pan people in the long run.
By an Asexual, may be better to ask another pan

Thanks, I'm not worried about how long it takes to explain, my only fear that I'm aware of are homophobic people disproving me and labeling me as a bad person for my sexuality. Any other drawbacks I should be aware of?
