Well, I'll keep this short and simple.
You've probably heard of bisexual, it doesn't mean you're attracted male and female people, it means you're attracted to two genders.
Although it is forgivable to assume this.
Pansexual means you're attracted to all genders.

While there are only two genders when you refer to reproductive organs, the rest of the body can play a role in defining gender, such as mammary glands, bone structure, hair length, proportions, and emotional development; all of which usually matches the reproductive organs, but there are two more genders for when have a male body and female reproductive organs or vice-versa.
